What is your focus?
I conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess children for Learning Disabilities including Dyslexia, Attention/ADHD, Executive Functioning, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Giftedness, Depression, Anxiety, and other educationally relevant mental health concerns. Comprehensive evaluations may include assessing a student’s cognitive functioning, processing abilities, academic achievement, social/emotional functioning, and/or adaptive behavior.
Psychoeducational evaluations and the full assessment process beginning from student intake to the assessment review allow us to identify needs, possible areas of concern, as well as highlight areas of strength within your child. Evaluations assist in best determining a student’s learning profile and what supports they may need to access their education. Assessments can include a broad number of areas and are tailored to your child’s needs. I also conduct educationally related therapy on an individual basis to assist children and adolescents cope with Anxiety, Depression, Executive Functioning issues, overall emotional regulation, and other mental health concerns that may be impeding their ability to access their education and socialize with their peers.
The educational system for students with special needs can be challenging to navigate. Additionally, I provide consultation services to families regarding Individual Education Program (IEP) and Section 504 related needs. Being well-versed in both special education and Section 504 law, I can assist families in navigating the complex and daunting processes in the public educational system and provide guidance to ensure your child’s needs are met.

What would you want someone to know about working with you?
I have a genuine passion for my work. Students of all ages deserve to thrive and find their own passion and success in all aspects of life and that begins with them accessing their education and having positive experiences in school. Families I have worked with have been grateful for my jargon-free explanations of their child’s abilities and needs, thorough assessments, and the genuine care with which I approach their children. I know that each family I work with is trying to do what is best for their child, is advocating for their child, and reaching out for help, and I do not take my responsibility there lightly. I look forward to working with you!
